Meo Cui (she/her)

Learning Strategist

Hi, I’m the Learning Strategist for the Arts Cohort, and you can think of me as your go-to person whenever you’re not sure where to turn. I was once in your shoes, studying for my Master’s in Education at TRU as both an international and mature student, so I know how challenging it can be to keep up with course schedules, learn all the new terms, and figure out the many resources available.

Manuel Centeno Duque (he/him)

Arts Cohort Teaching Assistant

Hi everyone, welcome to TRU! I am a fourth year Chemical Biology research student here at TRU where I serve, collaborate, and connect with other students and peers in a variety of outlets. I have knowledge in first year psychology and sociology as well as research design having taking courses and volunteered in research studies. Outside of class, I support Organic Chemistry Supplemental Learning sessions which are peer-led study sessions in various first- and second-year courses. I also support Peer Academic Coaching which are one-on-one sessions between peers where academic concerns and difficulties can be discussed. I highly recommend both resources to not only learn to study effectively but also to meet and connect with other students. I always find time to be active doing resistance training or playing sports since mental and physical health are important! I’m excited to meet and work with everyone!

Michelle Raglin (she/they)

Arts Cohort Teaching Assistant

I am a graduate student pursuing a Master of Arts Degree in Human Rights and Social Justice. While earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy from Thompson Rivers University in 2023, I was (and continue to be) actively involved in helping students as a Supplementary Learning Leader since 2020, a Mentor since 2022, and a Peer Academic Coach since 2021. I also thrive in roles as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant. To support my studies, I work part-time as a server at a local restaurant. Passionate about exploring new cultures, I recently traveled to China on a field study trip. In my downtime, I enjoy skiing at Sun Peaks, cooking, and spending time with my pets.

Olivia Lane (she/they)

Arts Cohort Indigenous Mentor

Taanishi Kiyo! I am a proud Métis woman who grew up on the unceded ancestral territory of the Shíshálh Nation on the Sunshine Coast, BC. I was once an arts student at TRU and have since graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. I am now back pursuing a Bachelor’s of Social Work. In my spare time, I enjoy baking, beading, hiking with my dog, and caring for my houseplants.
My academic strengths lie in Psychology, Sociology, English, and effective study strategies. I have also previously taken HIST 1400: Queer Activism, ENGL 1100: Introduction to University Writing, and SOCI 1210: Introduction to Sociology II. Additionally, I also serve as a wellness resource hub, helping connect students to mental, sexual, and physical health resources both on and off campus. Whether through one-on-one mentoring or group workshops, I am committed to meeting you where you are and supporting your success!

I’ll be at Cplul’kw’ten – House 5 every Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. No appointments needed—just drop by and join me! I’d love to see you there.
